Telephone conversation between Erray and his German counterpart

Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray received on Monday a phone call from his German counterpart, Heiko Maas.

Talks focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation relations and boost the strategic partnership between the two countries in all areas.

Erray commended the exceptional dynamics marking the cooperation between Tunisia and Germany, commending Germany's continued support for Tunisia at bilateral and multilateral levels to address economic and development challenges, particularly in the current context of the coronavirus.

For his part, the German Minister stressed his country's interest in the privileged partnership relations with Tunisia in all fields,

The phone call was also an opportunity to exchange views on some regional and international issues, particularly the situation in Libya.

Both parties stressed the importance of adhering to the resolutions of international legality on this issue and to the efforts to identify a political and consensual solution within the framework of an inter-Libyan dialogue guaranteeing the unity and stability of this country, the same source said.
