Sabri Bachtobji heads Tunisian delegation to "G20 Compact with Africa" high-level conference

Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Bachtobji was instructed by President Kais Saied to lead the Tunisian delegation to the 3rd session of the “G20 Compact with Africa” high-level conference scheduled for November 19 in Berlin.

The third session will be an opportunity to assess the progress made in activating the partnership with Africa which was initiated by Germany in 2017 following its presidency of the G20.

During this event, participants will shed light on investment opportunities in their respective countries.

The German initiative, joined by Tunisia in 2017, seeks to strengthen private investment, infrastructure and sustainable development in Africa so as to achieve economic stability as well as create a favorable environment for investment and develop financial regulations.

The 3rd session of the "G20 Compact with Africa", ​​to be held at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, will be attended by African leaders, European heads of states and prime ministers as well as officials of international and regional financial institutions supporting this initiative, including the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the African Development Bank (AfDB) as well as representatives of the private sector.
