Foreign Minister and Nigerian and Kenyan counterparts discuss situation in Palestine

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi, Sunday, had a phone call with Niger's Foreign Minister Hassoumi Massaoudou and Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs Raychelle Omamo, whose countries are non-permanent members of the UN Security Council.

The talks are part of Tunisia's ongoing efforts to rally international and regional support for the Palestinian people and halt the crimes committed by the occupation forces,

They focused on coordinating positions shortly before the holding of the public session of the UN Security Council requested by Tunisia in coordination with the Palestinian side.

The goal is to push the international community fulfill its legal and moral responsibility towards the Palestinian people and provide them with all necessary international protection so that they recover their rights and preserve their holy sites.

The death toll from the ongoing violence in Gaza rose to 145 on Sunday, including 41 children and 23 women while the number of wounded rose to over 1,100 people including 313 children and 206 women, according to the Palestinian TV.
