Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray, holds phone conversation with Russian counterpart
The conversation discussed ways of developing and enriching the various areas of exceptional cooperation between the two countries, especially in the trade and economic fields.
The two foreign ministers stressed the need to step up political consultation and coordination between the two countries, given Tunisia's status as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council,
Noureddine Erray recalled the initiative of the President of the Republic calling for all United Nations organs and institutions, first and foremost the Security Council, to assume their full responsibility in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The initiative was the subject of a draft UN resolution with the aim of activating international solidarity with regard to this health crisis.
The phone call was also an opportunity to exchange views on the latest regional and international developments, including the Palestinian cause and the situation in Libya.
