The Minister of Foreign Affairs will chair the Tunisian delegation participating in the Eleventh Extraordinary Summit of the African Union.
This summit will represent an opportunity to continue discussions on the African Union Commission's draft reform in the light of the results achieved in previous meetings, which aimed to develop the work of this organization and make it more effective.
Topics on the agenda of the Summit will include several important themes, such as the reform of the Commission's structure, the division of responsibilities among its members, the evaluation of its work, administrative and financial reform, as well as the division of labor between the African Union, the regional economic communities and the Member States.
Tunisian participation is part of our country's ongoing efforts to support joint African action through various mechanisms and structures and to develop its work in order to give greater visibility to the continental organization.
On the sidelines of his participation in this extraordinary summit, the Foreign Minister will hold a series of meetings with the heads of delegations of the participating countries, in addition to senior officials of the African Union.
