Sabri Bash Tabaji, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting of Foreign Ministers of Libya's neighboring countries, held on 29 November 2018 in Khartoum.

The Secretary of State emphasized in his speech the role played by this mechanism in supporting the United Nations efforts to achieve a comprehensive political settlement in Libya, recalling our country's position in favor of the United Nations efforts to support the United Nations. dialogue and reconciliation between the different Libyan parties and their appreciation of all efforts to establish security and stability in Libya to end the suffering of its people and preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Libya.

The Secretary of State also spoke about the initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Béji Caid Essebsi, which he launched in December 2016, which aims to support the efforts of the UN and reduce the gap between the Libyan parties and urged them to reach a political settlement of the crisis in their country, stressing that Tunisia was at the same distance from all Libyan parties.
