Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui paid a visit to Qatar on Monday at the invitation of his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohamed ben Abderrahmane Al-Thani.

The visit is part of preparations for the 30th Ordinary Session of the Arab Summit scheduled for March 31 in Tunis.

On this occasion, the Foreign Minister informed his Qatari counterpart of the preparations undertaken by Tunisia to meet the conditions of success for this event which constitutes "a milestone on the path of boosting Arab joint action."

Mr Jhinaoui called Qatar to keep supporting the Tunisian economy by injecting investment into promising sectors, voicing satisfaction at the development of trade and technical co-operation between the two countries.

For his part, Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed Ben Abderrahmane Al-Thani reaffirmed his country's determination to contribute to the success of the Tunis Summit, adding that Qatar will participate in works of the summit with a high-level delegation Therfore that his country is committed to continue exerting efforts to support the Tunisian economy,

The two officials asserted willingness to foster partnership relations in the various fields.
