Jhinaoui on working visit to Kenya on October 7 and 8

Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui will pay a working visit to Kenya on October 7 and 8 at the invitation of his Kenyan counterpart, Monica Juma.

According to a statement issued Saturday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this visit, the first of its kind since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, is part of Tunisia's will to expand the platform of its economic partners.

The same source also points out that the aim is to promote friendly and cooperation relations between Tunisia and East African countries and the regional economic communities, in particular the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

The Minister's visit to Kenya will be a good opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and exchange views with senior Kenyan officials on regional and international issues of common interest, according to the same source.
