Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues six decisions in relation to Francophonie summit

Six decisions issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the organisation of the 18th Francophonie summit were published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Tunisia.

The Francophonie Summit will take place in the second week of November 2020 in Tunisia; It coincides with the 50th anniversary of the International Organisation of La Francophonie.

These decisions provide for the creation of six units as part of the executive committee in charge of preparation for the summit, reads a ministry press release. This includes a communication and information unit, a security unit, a protocol and public relations unit, a management and finance unit, a logistics unit and a health unit.

The decisions were issued persuant to Government Decree No. 2019-428 on the creation of a national organising committee for the summit.

This committee is chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and brings together representatives of all ministerial departments.
