Congo’s Gakosso in Tunis to examine ways to develop consultation and cooperation relations

Congo’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Head of the African Union Ad Hoc High-Level Committee on Libya Jean-Claude Gakosso is on a working visit to Tunisia on Friday.

Gakosso will deliver a letter from Congo’s President Denis Sassou N'Guesso to President Kaid Saied, according to a Foreign Ministry press release.

The visit will offer the opportunity to examine ways to develop relations of consultation and cooperation between the two countries in the various fields, the same source said.

Emphasis will also be laid on the regional and international efforts to find solutions to the Libyan crisis, restore the process of political settlement and avoid the bloodshed of the brotherly Libyan people, while preserving the unity and sovereignty of Libya, the department pointed out.
