Foreign Minister meets Belgian ambassador in Tunis

The relations of cooperation and friendship between Tunisia and Belgium bilaterally and within the framework of European Union were the focus of a meeting held Thursday between Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray and Belgian ambassador in Tunis, Christophe de Bassompierre.

The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen political consultation mechanisms on international issues of common interest,

Erray highlighted Tunisia's commitment to diversify the areas for cooperation with Belgium, "a friendly country in all fields, particularly in the economic and commercial fields" he stressed.

The FM also welcomed the support provided by Belgium within the framework of the European Union bodies.

For his part, the Belgian ambassador stressed the solidity of the friendly relations between the two countries, affirming his country's commitment to fostering cooperation with Tunisia in various sectors.
