Foreign Minister, Italian counterpart discuss over phone ways to mitigate impact of coronavirus pandemic

Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray, on Saturday, spoke on the phone with his Italian counterpar Luigi Di Maio.

The two ministers stressed the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, reaffirming the common will to boost cooperation and diversify its areas,

Talks also focused on the efforts made by both countries to mitigate the consequences of the pandemic at the health and economic levels.

In this regard, the Italian Minister welcomed the Tunisian authorities' show of solidarity with Italy in these times of coronavirus.

For his part, Erray expressed Tunisia's gratitude for the support provided by Italy within the framework of bilateral cooperation and the European Union, the statement added.

Several international and regional issues of common interest, including developments of the situation in Libya, were discussed during the meeting.
