Tunisia and Italy have converging views on Libyan file

Minister of Foreign Affairs Noureddine Erray, on Monday, spoke over the phone with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio.

The two ministers discussed the path of friendly relations and strategic partnership that unites the two countries, and confirmed their mutual eagerness to further advance and strengthen them in all fields.

Emphasis was placed on several regional and international files of common interest, including the crisis in Libya,

Erray underlined the importance of the Libyan file and the need to find a solution, recalling Tunisia’s position supporting international legitimacy to reach a permanent political settlement.

They underlined the convergence of views on the Libyan issue, calling for promoting an inter-Libyan political dialogue to guarantee the unity of Libya and protect its stability.
