Erray, Bulgaria's Foreign Ministe discuss cooperation

Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray received a phone call from his Bulgarian opposite number and Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform Ekaterina Zakharieva.

Erray and Zakharieva hailed the dynamics of relations and underlined the need to scale up cooperation in the various fields.

They also laid emphasis on the need to gear up for the holding in Tunis of the 3rd session of political consultations. The last session was held in Sofia in May 2019.

Tunisia, Erray said, wants stronger ties of economic cooperation, in particular. He also hailed Bulgaria for support as part of the European Union institutions.

The efforts made by the two countries to mitigate the economic and health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic were also reviewed.

The FMs exchanged views about the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest, notably Libya.
