Foreign Minister, Algerian counterpart discuss upcoming bilateral events

The upcoming events between Tunisia and Algeria and cooperation in various fields were discussed at a phone call Friday between Minister of Foreign Affairs Othman Jerandi and his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra.

The call also focused on regional and international issues of common interest.

During this telephone conversation, the two ministers stressed the importance of preparing for upcoming bilateral events, citing in particular, the Tunisian-Algerian High Joint Commission meeting, whose date will be set later.
According to the two ministers, the holding of the High Joint Commission will help boost bilateral cooperation, especially in trade, economy, industry and energy.
It will also help to meet the new challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they stressed, saying this event is an opportunity to explore promising opportunities and further enrich the legal framework governing cooperation between the two countries.
