Cooperation relations between Tunisia and the League of Arab States and the development of joint Arab action were at the heart of the talks held Thursday between Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi and Secretary-General of the League Ahmed Abu Al Ghaith.

During the meeting which took place on the sidelines of the 155th session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, Jerandi welcomed the atmosphere conducive to exchanges especially during the consultation meeting which focused on major issues in the Arab region.

Mr Jerandi discussed during the meeting the situation in Libya and ways to provide the necessary support at this critical stage which requires the neighboring countries, particularly Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria to contribute to the success of the transition phase in this country.

For his part, Ahmed Abu Al Ghaith welcomed the support he received from President Saied on the renewal of confidence in his person and his reappointment as head of the League's General Secretariat.
