M.Jerandi s'entretient avec l'ambassadeur de Chine
The meeting focused on ways to bolster bilateral relations in all areas. The issue of the provision of COVID-19 vaccines to Tunisia was reviewed at this meeting.
Mr. Jerandi stressed the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in this exceptional health situation. He called to multiply efforts and strengthen coordination between the two parties to provide vaccines to Tunisia as soon as possible,
The Minister also highlighted the importance of meeting the challenges in Africa by giving priority to solidarity economy and exchange of skills. Hel also called to multiply the initiatives to ensure stability and peace in the continent.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his country's willingness to pursue "the fruitful partnership" with Tunisia and its determination to work together "to help resolve regional and international issues of common interest.
Regarding the tightening of entry measures in China for foreigners, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chinese diplomat said his country has taken these measures to limit the number of infection cases among travelers arriving from abroad.
The health situation in China has prompted the authorities to take strict measures against foreign travelers regardless of their nationality. "Only a limited number of visitors will be able to enter China" at the moment.
The meeting also focused on ways to develop cooperation and enhance coordination between the two countries, especially since China assumes the presidency of the United Nations Security Council this month.
