M.Jerandi meets in Doha with his Kuwaiti counterpart
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the consultation meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Doha on Tuesday.
Jerandi stressed the importance of resuming bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including first of all the Joint Commission, and strengthening cooperation in the recruitment of Tunisian skills, especially in the health and education sectors.
He expressed the will to intensify bilateral relations and to diversify their fields, in keeping with the exceptional and historical relations uniting the two countries.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jerandi welcomed the convergence of the two countries' views on the main regional and international issues and the common will to defend Arab issues in international forums.
The Kuwaiti minister reaffirmed his country's commitment to continue supporting Tunisia economically and in terms of investment, praising Tunisia's role in the UN Security Council to defend Arab issues.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss regional issues, including the situation in Libya and the Palestinian cause, stressing the need to support the brotherly Libyan people in their efforts to complete the roadmap.
