Seminar on the history of Carthage

ATUGE-UK and the British Tunisian Society organised a talk about the history of Carthage at Cass Business School on Friday 14th June 2019. The event was attended by over 80 people including Tunisian Ambassador in London Nabil Ben Khedher,

British Ambassador in Tunis Louise de Souza, BTS President Robin Kealy and ATUGE President Aous Labbane.

The two speakers Henry Hurst, Emeritus Reader in Classics at Cambridge University, and Abdelaziz Belkhodja, a Tunisian passionate writer and publisher who wrote extensively about Carthage, shed light on a glorious period of Tunisia's ancient history when Carthage was a key player in the Mediterranean Sea and competed with Rome.

Morevoer, Abdelaziz Belkhoja dedicated a special session for a group of Tunisian children to tell them about the history of Ancient Carthage and Hannibal, who is widely considered as one of the greatest military commanders in history.
