Jhinaoui meets with Palestinian Ambassador in Tunis

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Khémaies Jhinaoui received, on Wednesday in Tunis, Palestinian Ambassador to Tunisia, Hayel Fahoum.

The Palestinian diplomat handed him a message from his Palestinian counterpart, Riadh Melki, in which he offered his most sincere congratulations on Tunisia's election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the years 2020-2021, expressing his conviction that "Tunisia will be the voice of the Arab peoples and the best advocate of their causes in this UN structure".
The Palestinian ambassador also conveyed to Jhinaoui wishes of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, for the speedy recovery of President Béji Caid Essebsi, wishing him to resume his activities as soon as possible.
For his part, Jhinaoui commended the solid relations of brotherhood and cooperation between the two brotherly peoples," reaffirming Tunisia's determination to continue to defend the cause of the Palestinian people so that they regain their legitimate rights and to establish an independent Palestinian State with Al-Quds as its capital.
