Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray holds telephone conversation with UK Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa
The telephone conversation focused on the privileged relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the means to promote them in all fields
Noureddine Erray commended, on this occasion, the dynamic that distinguishes Tunisian-British relations, hailing the support given by Great Britain to the process of democratic transition in Tunisia and the social and economic challenges encountered.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the process related to the draft resolution submitted to the Security Council, which gives concrete expression to the initiative of the President of the Republic calling on all United Nations bodies, and first and foremost the Security Council, to assume their responsibility in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic,
Both sides stressed in this regard the importance of coordinating efforts to activate the principle of international solidarity in the face of the consequences of the pandemic crisis and the threat it poses to the health of mankind as well as security and peace in the world.
