M.Jerandi attends UN General Assembly meeting in New York on developments in Gaza

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi, went on Wednesday to New York, at the request of the President of the Republic, to participate in the special meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting is devoted to monitoring developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, "in light of the continuing offensive of the Israeli occupation forces against the brotherly Palestinian people,"

Jerandi will continue his diplomatic contacts with the various members of the UN Security Council and international actors.

He will also work to coordinate with his counterparts in brotherly and friendly countries "in support of Palestinian rights," the source added.

According to the ministry, this participation comes within the framework of the follow-up of Tunisia's efforts to stop the offensive against the Palestinian people, particularly by mobilising the support of the international community in order to achieve an immediate ceasefire.
